Prenatal Visits for Expecting Parents
Whether you're preparing for your first baby or welcoming another little one, choosing the right pediatrician is one of the most important decisions you'll make before your due date. Our free prenatal meet & greets are designed to make that decision easy — meet our pediatricians, tour our office, and get answers to all your questions before baby arrives.

What to Expect at Your Prenatal Visit
We keep our prenatal gatherings small so you'll have the chance to meet our pediatrician and ask your questions. Here's what's included:
While there’s no cost to attend, space is limited and we encourage you to RSVP soon.

Frequently asked questions
Can I meet my pediatrician before the baby is born?
Yes! We know choosing your baby’s first pediatrician is a big decision. We’re here to make it as easy as possible to see if Bluebird Kids Health is right for you. You’re welcome to join us for an upcoming prenatal event. We host them monthly at our practices and look forward to meeting you (and your little one!). You can see the upcoming schedule here.
When does my baby receive their first vaccines?
We believe in the safety and efficacy of vaccines at Bluebird Kids Health. For that reason, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP’s) vaccine guidelines. After your newborn’s first Hepatitis B vaccine (which is typically given in the hospital after birth), the series starts at 2 months old. We practice shared decision making with parents so we can answer any questions you have regarding this vital component of preventative medicine that keeps your child healthy.
How soon should I make an appointment with my newborn?
What information should I expect to review at my newborn’s first visit?
What should I bring to my child’s first appointment?
If your child is a newborn, please bring their hospital discharge papers and any vaccination records. We also recommend packing a few items to help keep your baby comfortable, like a blanket, pacifier, or extra diapers (see a few more tips here). For older children, bring any health records or vaccination history you have on hand.
Do you have Beyfortus® (the RSV Antibody) vaccine?
Yes, we have the Beyfortus® (RSV Antibody) injection available for newborns under 8 months old. Pregnant women can get the RSV vaccine between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. This is an alternative to giving your child the vaccine. We recommend discussing the option with your obstetrician.
